Answers to some common questions

about my services and tapping in general.

What is EFT tapping, and how does it work?

EFT, or Emotional Freedom Techniques, is a holistic approach that combines elements of psychology and acupressure to help release emotional distress and promote healing. By tapping on specific meridian points on the body while focusing on negative emotions or beliefs, we can clear blockages and restore balance, leading to emotional freedom and empowerment.

Yes, EFT tapping is generally considered a safe and effective method for emotional healing and stress reduction. It is a gentle technique suitable for people of all ages. However, as with any therapeutic approach, individuals should take full responsibility for their health and well-being when using EFT tapping. If you have specific mental health concerns or medical conditions, it’s always best to consult with a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new therapeutic method. During our sessions, I provide a supportive and comfortable environment to guide you on your journey.

EFT tapping can be a beneficial tool for anyone open to exploring emotional freedom and personal growth. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, or emotional challenges, or if you want to address limiting beliefs, tapping may be a suitable option for you. It’s helpful to approach it with curiosity and an open mind.

EFT tapping is generally considered safe and has minimal side effects. Some individuals may experience heightened emotions during or after a session as they process feelings. This can be a normal part of the healing process. It’s important to have a supportive practitioner to help navigate any emotional responses that may arise.

EFT tapping combines principles of psychology and traditional Chinese medicine. Research suggests that tapping can reduce cortisol levels (the stress hormone) and may lead to decreased anxiety and improved emotional regulation. Numerous studies have documented its effectiveness for various issues, and ongoing research continues to explore its mechanisms and applications.

Yes, EFT tapping has been shown to help reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression for many individuals. By tapping on specific acupressure points while focusing on negative emotions or thoughts, you can help release emotional blockages and promote a sense of calm. Many clients report feeling lighter and more at peace after sessions focused on these challenges.

EFT is a unique blend of psychotherapy and acupressure. Unlike traditional talk therapies, which may focus solely on cognitive or emotional aspects, EFT taps into the body’s energy system while addressing emotions. This holistic approach can often lead to quicker relief from emotional distress and a more profound transformation.

Yes, EFT can be effectively combined with other therapeutic approaches, such as talk therapy, coaching, or mindfulness practices. Many clients find that integrating EFT with other modalities enhances their overall healing and personal growth journey.

It’s natural to worry that focusing on negative thoughts or emotions may strengthen them. However, EFT tapping is designed to help you acknowledge and process these feelings in a safe and supportive environment. By bringing attention to what you’re experiencing, you create space for healing and transformation. Rather than reinforcing negative beliefs, tapping helps you release emotional blockages and shift your perspective, ultimately empowering you to move toward a more positive and balanced mindset. This approach allows you to confront challenges while promoting emotional freedom and resilience.

If you’re unsure about tapping, it’s perfectly okay to express your concerns. Tapping may feel unusual at first, but many people find it surprisingly gentle and effective. Practitioners work with you to ensure that you feel comfortable throughout the process and can adapt the approach to suit your needs.

You can absolutely practice EFT tapping on your own, especially after learning the basic techniques from a practitioner or through reputable resources. However, working with a trained practitioner can provide personalized guidance and support, making it easier to address specific issues and navigate complex emotions.

It depends on your specific needs and goals. If you’re looking for immediate relief or want to try EFT for the first time, a Power Hour might be ideal. For ongoing support and deeper exploration, consider the Quick Shifts, Steady Growth, or Pathway to Lasting Change options, which offer multiple sessions. If you prefer consistent weekly sessions, the Empowered Journey could be the best fit.

The number of sessions required to see results can vary from person to person and depends on the issues being addressed. Some individuals may experience relief after just one session, while others may benefit from ongoing sessions for deeper healing and progress. It’s essential to remember that everyone’s journey is unique, and your practitioner can help guide you in determining the best approach for your needs.

All sessions are conducted online, allowing you to participate from the comfort of your own space. This also provides flexibility in scheduling.

Each 60-minute session includes personalized tapping techniques tailored to your challenges, time for reflection, and setting meaningful intentions. You’ll receive follow-up support to help you integrate what you’ve learned.

While no specific preparation is required, it’s helpful to think about what you’d like to focus on during your session. If there is something specific you want to work on, feel free to provide information or context via email before the session. This can help ensure that you get the most out of your time together.

If you experience strong emotions during a session, it’s essential to remember that this is a normal part of the healing process. Allow yourself to feel those emotions without judgment. Your practitioner will guide you through the process and help you find a balance between tapping and processing feelings. If necessary, you can take breaks during the session to regroup.
